All DPFs and DOCs are guaranteed to install as a direct fit part and work with your truck’s ECU. Skills and Qualifications:
• 5+ years of previous experience in a similar role is required, with preference given to experience within the automotive manufacturing industry.
• CSCMP, CPIM or other certification is considered an asset.
• MUST HAVE – excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin (verbal and written).
• Experience in contract and price negotiation for commodity-based items.
• High sense of urgency and strong work ethic.
• Excellent customer service skills is required.
• Multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage various orders and activities.
• Computer Literate in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
• Experience using an ERP system preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are a fast-paced, highly motivated team of individuals, looking for a Buyer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Buyer will be responsible for the full purchasing and sourcing function at ROADWARRIOR. Therefore, the ideal candidate in this role works well independently, is abreast with supply chain management best practices and can manage competing priorities to ensure that all internal and external client demands are met.
The Buyer will be responsible for the management of a dedicated supplier base, purchasing a variety of products and the research and analysis of new vendors. As a quickly growing Company, this is a great opportunity for an individual looking to implement a variety of processes and procedures in the supply chain function.
Position Responsibilities:
• Places purchase orders with approved vendors and coordinates the delivery of product with a sense of urgency.
• Reviews all open orders, following up with vendors to confirm delivery dates and communicating with sales team to keep abreast of timelines.
• Assists with rush orders to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and products in order to comply with demand.
• Reviews purchasing reports to ensure raw material and product levels are maintained and acts to correct when needed.
• Utilizes strategic forecasting tools and historical data to plan appropriate inventory levels, taking corrective action when inventory position is long or short.
• Collaborates with branches and production team to ensure correct inventory levels and determine which product to transfer if excess stock is on hand.
• Coordinates with branches to follow up on inventory transfers, new product set up and a review of current inventory levels.
• Negotiates prices and lead times independently with existing and prospective vendors, and sets up contracts based on service level needs.
• Researches prospective vendors to determine supply chain capabilities, including logistics, costs, inventory control and management.
• Analyzes current vendors to provide a comparison and recommendations to find the best priced product.
• Keeps abreast of raw material market prices and manufacturing trends within the industry, making recommendations for new and improved processes in the supply chain function.
• Reviews invoicing issues for price discrepancies and communicates with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper price is charged to the supplier.
• Ability to react quickly and provide solutions to problems.
• Ability to remain strong under pressure and provide logical solutions.
